About this plugin

Aplica Component API is a Figma plugin that helps you document component APIs directly in Figma — starting from a selected component/component set/instance. It analyses props, lets you organize them into groups, add descriptions + default variant context, and then generates a documentation frame on the canvas so your API stays consistent and easy to share.

What you can do

1. Component API: Analyse a component, edit version/groups/descriptions/default variant, then Create doc in Figma (frame: “Aplica API - {Component Name}”).
2. Component Data: View/export “component as data” (anatomy + props + variables). Pick a component from Components Registered, then Copy or Download as JSON or YAML. Use Sync to refresh exports using the current Data Options.
3. Data Options: Control how variables are represented in exports (use Figma Code Syntax when available, show collection name, choose variable format like camelCase / PascalCase / dot notation).
4. Settings & UI: Theme (Dark/Light/Auto), language (EN/PT-BR/ES), base font size, and a resizable window.

Quick start (how to use)

1. Open Plugins → Aplica Component API.
2. In Component API, select one component/instance and click Analyse.
3. Adjust groups/descriptions/default variant (and version if needed), then click Create doc in Figma.
4. For exports: go to Component Data, select from Components Registered, then Copy/Download JSON/YAML (use Sync to refresh all).
5. Set export rules in Data Options; customize theme/language/font size in Settings.
